Mkomazi National Park
Mkomazi National Park is one of Tanzania’s least-explored safari destinations, offering a truly off-the-beaten-path experience. It lies at the foot of the Pare and Usambara Mountains and borders Kenya’s Tsavo West National Park, forming an important cross-border ecosystem.
The park’s semi-arid savannahs are dotted with acacia woodlands, baobab trees, and rocky hills, offering dramatic landscapes and exceptional biodiversity. It’s also home to endangered species such as the black rhino and African wild dog, protected in special conservation zones.
Mkomazi is a perfect destination for those seeking a quiet, authentic safari away from the crowds of the Northern Circuit.
